Love one another
We seek the merciful heart of Christ. The Beatitudes, the Great Commandments, and Christ’s new commandment form the center of our common life.
The Common Rule is the living measure of the Sacramental Community of the Coworkers of Christ: a way of prayer, mercy, sacramental worship, formation, reconciliation, simplicity, and apostolic service.
A rule is not a bureaucracy or a program imposed from outside. It is a measuring rod, a map, and a shared rhythm that helps us become the people and community God is calling into being.
Lead with love. Celebrate the Spirit. Engage the mind. Cherish the soul.
The full Common Rule contains the Rule, Covenants, and General Statutes. This page is a public-facing guide to the rhythm we are learning to live in Clovis.
We seek the merciful heart of Christ. The Beatitudes, the Great Commandments, and Christ’s new commandment form the center of our common life.
We are a community without walls: a relational family of prayer, hope, love, and mercy, open to seekers who desire deeper communion with God and neighbor.
Our days are shaped by prayer, contemplation, study, work, and service. Each flows into the other until ordinary life becomes an offering.
Solitary and communal prayer anchor us. We listen for the Holy Spirit in Scripture, silence, sacrament, creation, community, and the needs before us.
Formation is lifelong. We engage theology, spiritual practice, the Cure of the Soul, and the ancient Christian tradition with humility and courage.
Prayer becomes visible love. We serve the poor, the wounded, the lonely, the imprisoned, and the overlooked for the blessing of the world.
We resist possessiveness, hurry, performance, and domination. We practice integrity, chastity of heart, holy poverty, discernment, and faithful friendship.
We repair what is broken, bear one another’s burdens, guard peace, forgive, listen across difference, and make room for healing.
The Rule is lived in ordinary patterns. Friends and members begin where they are and discern the rhythm with patience.
Pray. Read Scripture. Practice silence. Ask for mercy. Bless someone by name. Let your work become prayer.
Gather when possible for table, fellowship, worship, spiritual conversation, formation, and prayer for one another.
Discern vocation, study the Common Rule, serve locally, repair relationships, and make mercy visible in the city.
Lead with love. Celebrate the Spirit. Engage the mind. Cherish the soul. Seek the Commonwealth of God on earth as in heaven.
To be and make coworkers of Jesus Christ within an authentic sacramental community for the blessing of the world.
We stand within the Christian tradition, confess the faith of the Church, cherish the sacraments as channels of grace, and welcome people into a place of belonging and formation.
Local cells, chapters, ministries, and churches are the foundation. They support, challenge, and send God’s people into the world with overflowing love.
You do not have to understand everything to begin. Start as a friend, ask questions, pray with us, and discern whether this rhythm is part of your calling.
